Another stonker to come from the ever-reliable Try Harder label, Leicester based Tired Irie might be a new name, but with 'Like.Gentle.Men' they're certainly willing to make an impression.

Coming on like spazz-punkers Q And Not U with a fondness for chiming post-rock guitars, lead track 'Like.Gentle.Men' assures us "we're the good guys" over frothing layers of guitar and drone-disco - like Public Image Ltd. after a hefty session listening to Mogwai: brilliantly deadpan and irresistably catchy.

"We are charismatic!" they woop and chant on the brooding Young Knives-on-Prozac B-side 'Burning Off The Murk', and you can't help but agree wholeheartedly after listening. One to watch.
